Cost: $30 for entry of first dog, $15 for each additional dog

Mrs. Roush is one of the top Weimaraner handlers in the country, winning the Pedigree Award numerous times. A breeder/owner of Weimaraners and German Shorthair Pointers, Mrs. Roush will share her knowledge of grooming, handling tips, and show presentation with those of us who are just starting out. Learn techniques for making both you and your dog a winner. We can all experience the attitude it takes to be a good sportsman.

New this year: AKC judge Mrs. Ruth Ann Freer-Godfrey will share her vast experience as a Weimaraner judge. Mrs. Freer-Godfrey will discuss what she looks for as exhibitors show their dogs to her, and offer tips and suggestions on how to better present your dog in the ring.

Get a head start for 2010's show season!!! More importantly, get your weimaraner puppies ready for the National Specialty Show our club is hosting May, 2010 in Gettysburg, PA.

Program of events:

  • Grooming tips and techniques
  • Presenting your dog in the ring (Mrs. Roush)
  • Lunch ($5.00 charge for NON-participants)
  • Presenting your dog to an AKC judge (Mrs. Freer-Godfrey)
  • Mock Weimaraner Specialty Show

Karin Bakken will be offering microchips for dog during the lunch break. The cost for the microchip is $40.00, which includes the microchip registration costs. All proceeds go to the RESCUE!!!

You will need: a crate for each dog, water & dish.

From Balt. and North: Take I-695 S to Route 702

From Balt. and West(Virginia): Either Take 95 N Through the Ft. McHenry Tunnel to I-695 S or

From the west take I-695 south to the Key Bridge, then follow I-695 to Rt702.

From the Northeast, take 95 S to I-695 Sto Rt 702.

Once on Route 702, follow route 702 for 4 miles (you will go through 3 or 4 stoplights. Look for Turkey Point Road (a left turn) just following a small shopping plaza on your left. Turn left onto Turkey Point Rd. Go straight through the stopsign you immediately come to. Follow Turkey Point Rd for about 1.5-2 miles until you come to a four-way intersection. At this intersection Bobby B’s will be on your left, Turkey Point Rd will continue to the right, Greyhound Rd is to your left, and straight ahead is Seneca Rd. Go Straight onto Seneca, the Firehouse Hall will be on the corner with the parking lot just after the building.
